Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry said on Saturday that two Royal Guards member killed and three others injured in a foiled attack on a security checkpoint at the western gate of Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
The ministry said the attaker was killed in the incident that also left three others guards injured.
“The initial investigation identified that attacker as Mansour Bin Hassan Al Ameri, Saudi, 28. He was found carrying a Kalashnikov and three molotov bombs,” Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki said, adding that the investigation is still ongoing and more details will be revealed accordingly.
