The Turkish armed forces have shelled 21 ISIS targets in Jarabulus, northern Syria, as part of Operation Euphrates Shield.
Since Monday night, the Turkish artillery shelled 21 ISIS positions in and around Jarabulus using Firtina howitzers, the military said in a statement on Tuesday, carried by Anadolu Agency (AA).
Meanwhile, coalition warplanes struck two ISIS positions in Jarabulus late on Monday, the statement added. The Turkish Armed Forces said it was taking all necessary measures to avoid civilian casualties.
Operation Euphrates Shield, which was launched last Wednesday, is aimed at improving security, supporting coalition forces and eliminating the terror threat along Turkey's border through Free Syrian Army fighters backed by Turkish armor, artillery and jets.
