A gunman opened fire inside the local branch of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) in the northeastern city of Khabarovsk on Friday, the FSB Public Relations Center told TASS news agency.
An FSB officer and a visitor died in the shooting, while another visitor was injured. The gunman was killed. "The attacker was killed. Investigation activities are underway," the FSB said.
The shooter was later identified as an 18-year-old resident of the Khabarovsk region. "Some information points to his being a member of a neo-Nazi group," the center said.
