Twin Emirati brothers and a teenager were killed in a road accident in Sharjah.
The 20-year-old Emirati twins and a 15-year-old were killed after their car swerved out of control on Friday morning and rammed into a lamp post in Khor Fakkan in the eastern part of Sharjah.
Police said the accident was due to speeding and difficult weather conditions that affected Sharjah and the rest of the country.
The police command centre alerted to the incident at 10:30am dispatched emergency crews and police patrols to the scene of the accident in Al Harai area.
Medical teams tried to save the victims at the scene of the accident, however, they died of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
The bodies of the Emiratis were transferred to Sharjah police forensics labs, before being handed over to the families for burial.
Funeral prayers and burial will be carried out after evening prayers in Khor Fakkan.
Sharjah police urged residents to exercise caution and heed traffic laws during the unstable weather conditions.
Police emphasised the importance of wearing seat belts and not to be distracted while driving.
