At least 12 ISIS elements were killed in Iraq’s northern city of Mosul on Saturday, the Iraqi police said.
Scores of ISIS militants armed with heavy weapons and mortar shells attacked several villages in southwestern Tal Afar, 60 kilometers west of Mosul, they said, adding that the attack was thwarted by security forces, leaving 12 ISISI militants dead.
In a relevant development, one person was killed and three others injured in a bomb explosion in south Baghdad today. The explosive device was placed near a popular market in the subsidiary of Madain south of Baghdad, according to a security source.
