4 killed in air force plane crash in Sri Lanka

A Sri Lanka Air Force plane crashed into a rubber estate on the outskirts of the capital Friday morning, killing four of the personnel on board, police said.
According to dpa, the plane crashed in Athurugiriya, 12 kilometres from the capital, narrowly missing a nearby housing scheme, police said.
A fifth person on board was taken to hospital with severe burns.
At least two houses were damaged by debris from the Antonov 32 aircraft.
There was heavy mist in the area at the time of the crash, witnesses said.
