Tropical storm Dianmu, which made landfall in northern Vietnam, left one person dead and four others injured, authorities have said.
According to a report by the National Committee for Search and Rescue, a man was killed by the storm in Son La Province. Three people in Hanoi and another in Vinh Phuc Province were hurt by fallen trees.
Eleven houses collapsed and 33 others lost their roofs in the storm. Dianmu also damaged 59 hectares of vegetables and orchards and knocked down 36 utility poles, the report said.
Dianmu was the third storm that hit the country this year. Earlier, Mirinae in July and Nida in early August claimed seven lives in total.
