Member of Zamalek’s board Hany Zada denied what was published over discounting points from the football team over the current delay to pay the financial dues of the team’s former player Agogo, as FIFA sent a letter to the team calling it for taking serious measures to pay the financial dues of the player as soon as possible.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, Zamalek has not received any letters containing threats over discounting points from the football team, saying that the team has the opportunity to pay the player’s money until May 3. He added that they agreed with the player’s agent to pay the money in installments.
He said that the major challenge that faced the club is the difficulty to obtain hard currency to pay the financial dues of the player, adding that they will pay $ 50 thousand to the player on Sunday. He expressed his resentment over the approach adopted by Egyptian Football Federation against the team, saying that they strongly refuse any sanctions against the team for their refusal to play previous match against Makassa in the framework of the Egyptian Premier League.
