Bastian Schweinsteiger Berlin - Arabtstoday Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said he was delighted to return to full training today as he kicked a football again for the first time since tearing ankle ligaments. The 27-year-old began running again last week and was allowed to train with a football at Bayern's training ground today, although he says he does not know when he will be able to play for the Bavarian giants again. The Germany star tore ankle ligaments in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final win at Stuttgart on 8 February in just his fourth game back after breaking his collarbone in early November. "Finally returning to training with the ball left me wanting more, especially with the nice weather in Munich," Schweinsteiger wrote on Facebook. "Unfortunately, I can't yet say when I will be back in the squad." Bayern are second in the Bundesliga, seven points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, and host FC Basel in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash next Tuesday needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.
