Goalkeeper Nasser Farouk Cairo - Omar El Banouby Ghazl El Mehalla goalkeeper Nasser Farouk says he has reconsidered his decision to retire from football and will be the goalkeeper of Ghazl El Mehalla in the next season. Farouk said in a telephone interview with Arabstoday that he has reconsidered his decision to retire and signed a new contract with Mahalla club for two seasons. The former goalkeeper of Asyut Petroleum added that Mahalla's fans were the reason he reconsidered his decision, saying: "I am a son of the city of Mahalla, and owe a lot to El Mehalla club." Farouk had coached Mahalla goalkeepers for a few weeks recently after the escape of former coach Wael Shoukr to Saudi Arabia.
