Ghassan Mohareb Occupied Jerusalem – Sona Adeek The Palestinian boxer from Jerusalem, Ghassan Mohareb, wished in an interview with Arabstoday to compete against an Israeli player in the 2013 World Boxing Championship, so he can defeat him. Mohareb said, “my life wish is to compete with an Israeli player, because I want to defeat and knock him out. I will discharge the hatred and malice in my heart for the occupation on this player's body.” Mohareb works in business administration in Denmark, where he lives with his wife and daughter Jenin. The boxer added, “I have devoted 45 hours a week to my work in Business Administration and another 24 hours to my training with an average of four hours per day. Two hours before work and two hours after. My wife and daughter Jenin accompany me so I can spend time with my family.” The current champion of Thai WMC, won the title of champion of the world three times. He said he is training in a group of sports related to boxing to acquire new skills. He hopes these shall enable him to compete in the boxing World Cup in April 2013 on behalf of Palestine. He won the world championship on April 23 2012. Mohareb said, “I want to win every battle I go through. I am fully prepared to participate in any game and win it.” The Palestinian boxer spoke to Arabstoday on the phone from Denmark. He wishes to visit Palestine and train a group of young Palestinians from the Palestinian territory. Expressing his pride with Palestine and his Arab and revolutionary identity, he concluded saying, “I am proud and happy that I am Palestinian. I will raise the flag of Palestine in all games, God willing.”
