Harry Redknapp London - Arabstoday Queens Park Rangers' manager Harry Redknapp has become the first Premier League football manager to join social media website Twitter. The 65-year old, who recently returned to the game at Loftus Road has been tweeting as @HJRedknapp since November 2. However, official confirmation of the account from QPR's Twitter account on Tuesday saw Redknapp gain a substantial following. The former Southampton, Portsmouth and Spurs boss is a regular columnist for the Sun newspaper and has also appeared on BBC's Match of the Day. In his first tweet last month, Redknapp, who has several fake profiles to his name tweeted: "Hi everyone! Harry here. Just joined this Twitter thing. How are you all?" On Tuesday, QPR's official account confirmed that the club's manager was part of the social media, "The club can can confirm @HJRedknapp is an official account for R's boss Harry Redknapp. His account is managed by his PR team. #QPR" It remains to be seen whether Redknapp's move to embrace social media leads to other football managers following suit.
