Moroccan Minister of Sports Rashid Al Tali said that Moroccan participation in the Francophone Games should be positive by winning the largest number of medals.
He added, in a statement to “Al Maghrib Today”, that Moroccan athletes are required to make great efforts, in the hope of achieving the desired results. The statement came on the sideline of his participation in the opening ceremony of the championship on Friay.
He added that the Moroccan delegation is composed of over 108 athletes to provide good opportunity to them to gain more experience in the framework of their preparation for the coming events in which they will represent their country.
He expressed his support for the organizing country Ivory Coast, saying that it is one of Morocco’s major friends in the continent. He stressed that the Francophone Games are extremely important , saying that their participation comes in the framework of the country’s keenness to be open on it Francophone surrounding.
He revealed his country’s intention to host a conference the ministers of Sports of Francophone countries as soon as possible to discuss the major problems facing them regarding sporting career. He stressed the need for cooperation between the Francophone countries during the coming period to overcome the challenges facing them.
