A late goal by Mahmoud Abdel Monem (Kahraba) was enough for the Egyptian national team to exceed Morocco and snatch their qualify card to the semifinals of the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Kahraba's goal in the 87th minute secured Egypt's first victory on their North African rivals since 1986.
The Pharaohs advanced to face Burkina Faso in Libreville Wednesday.
Egypt have the best record in the AFCON's history by achieving seven titles in 1957, 1959, 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008, and 2010.
