Egypt’s Al Ahly coach, Hossam El-Badry stressed that his team was better during the Super Cup match against Zamalek despite his team's defat 3-1 on penalties in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
“We were better than Zamalek , and Al Ahly lost on penalty shootout, stressing that the national team impact on Ahly's performance, especially after complaining all the international players were exhausted after playing in the 2017 African Cup of Nations held in Gabon," El-Badry said during the post-match press conference.
"Penalties require luck and that his side wasn’t lucky during the penalty shootout," he said.
"We will focus now on the league and will start preparing for our game against Ismaily, scheduled to be played in Wednesday," Al Ahly coach added.
