Ahly's Hossam el-Badry's left Merreikh in 2011 Cairo - Arabstoday Egyptian football club Al-Ahly will play Sudan's Al-Merreikh in a pre-season friendly in June. According to Ahly's official website, the match has been arranged in honour of the departing Merreikh's chairman, Gamal el-Waly. Ahly coach Hossam el-Badry managed the Sudanese Premier League outfit for a year, guiding them to the title in 2011. "El-Badry agreed to play a friendly against Merreikh in June," read a statement on the Ahly's official website. "The friendly will be played after we've arranged the team's games in the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League," the statement added. Earlier this week, African champions Ahly also accepted an offer to play a friendly against English Premier League side Fulham in the close season.
