The Public Authority of the Syrian Revolution said on Saturday the number of civilians killed in clashes between the opposition Free Syria Army and government forces reached 93 people, most of them in Homs and Aleppo. The authority said in a statement that 27 were killed and dozens were injured, including women and children, as a result of regime forces' shelling of civilian populations in Al-Wa'ar neighborhood in Homs. The attack occurred after a demonstration in the area. A booby-trapped car exploded near Al-Zaafarani in Homs, and preliminary estimates put the death toll at one person and several wounded, some critically, the statement said, noting that two children were killed as a result of bombing by regime troops in Talbisa town. The statement added that armed "Islamist factions" were fighting Al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in different areas of the country.
