At least one Syrian militant was killed and another injured in a failed attack on Lebanese military patrol in the Northeastern city of Beqaa, the state news agency (NNA) reported Saturday.
The NNA said that three gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on an army patrol at the entrance to Qaa in Beqaa.
The soldiers responded and managed to kill one of the attackers, injure second and arrest the third, it said. It pointed that first two are Syrian nationals while the third is Lebanese.
The Lebanese national was handed over to the authorities for further cross examination while the injured Syrian man was transferred to Hormel government hospital for treatment, it concluded.
