Spokesman for the Sudanese Armed Forces Colonel Al Soarmi Khaled Saad that a group affiliating to the movement of rebel Abdel Wahid Mohammed Nur has targeted an armed forces patrol composed of ten members at a point located about two kilometers outside the town of Millit in North Darfur. In a statement to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Al Soarmi said the rebel group has been able to seize two vehicles and fled, pointing out that the Sudanese armed forces had chased the group and managed to retrieve the vehicle, killing five rebels and wounding others.
