The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned on Sunday the remarks of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who leveled baseless accusations at the international community for criticizing Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories.
In a statement published by WAFA news agency, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry described Israeli settlements as illegal and illegitimate.
Also, it said Israeli settlements on the Palestinian soil constitute an obstacle to international efforts exerted to reach a two-state solution through reviving the Middle East peace talks.
Furthermore, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the UN Security Council and all states to respond to Netanyahu's accusations and arrogance and highlight international stances that reject the establishment of Israeli settlements on the occupied Palestinian territories.
