Pakistani troops repelled a cross-border attack by
militants based in Afghanistan, killing 11 rebels
and arresting one, the military said Tuesday, according to dpa.
Three paramilitary troops were killed in the clash when the attackers
stormed a Pakistani post in Spinwam area of North Waziristan tribal
region, it said.
Several militants fled back across the border, leaving behind bodies
of their comrades, it said.
The attack occurred a day after Pakistan asked Afghanistan and
international forces to take action against militants
fleeing an offensive in North Waziristan.
