Israeli forces on Sunday closed with metal gates and earth mounds the entrances of several towns and villages located to the south of Hebron, according to local and security sources.
Israeli troops closed the entrances of al-Fawwar refugee camp, Samu, Sadatel Fahes, in addition to the southern neighborhood of Hebron, located near Haggai settlement. Local passengers were forced to use bumpy roads to reach their workplace.
Forces also closed the entrances of Msafer Yatta villages for the 30th consecutive day.
Israel has imposed a blockade on Hebron and several neighboring towns for the 30 consecutive days, affecting some 700,000 Palestinians.
The closure, approved by the Israeli government as part of a series of larger reprisals, affects only Palestinians and not Israeli settlers in settlements across Hebron district, an Israeli army spokesperson reportedly told media.
