The Political Directors of the G5+1 and Iran will meet in Geneva on December 17 for a one-day meeting to continue diplomatic efforts towards reaching a long-term, comprehensive solution, the office of EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, announced here Friday. Next week's meeting is taking place after the G5+1 (China, France, Russia, UK, US plus Germany) and Iran failed to reach a comprehensive deal on Iran's nuclear programme by the deadline November 24, in Vienna.
They decided to extend the deadline on Iran's nuclear talks till the end of June next year.
