The total number of Palestinian prisoners of war (POWS) and detainees inside Israeli occupation dungeons reached 6,500 on December 1.
The director of statistics department in the Palestinian POWs and/or Freed Affairs Authority, Abdul-Nasser Farwaneh, in a statement on Wednesday said that random and collective detention cases have markedly increased in the second half of 2014, citing more than 40,000 detainees since July 12. The 6,500 Palestinian POWs and detainees have been distributed into 18 Israeli detention camps or centers.
