Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab stressed that giant projects are to be implemented as part of the Suez Canal Development corridor and so work should be carried out around the clock.
Mahlab, speaking at a meeting with the water and drainage officials in Daqahlia and contracting companies operating in these two domains late on Saturday, said work will also start at the administrative capital "so we have to be ready and train our workers very well."
The officials updated the premier on problems in the governorate, especially potable water and drainage problems.
He also gave instructions to immediately finish the establishment of water stations in the governorate.
He promised that water problems in the governorate, a home of 7 million persons, will be solved within one year.
