Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Thursday the distribution of wealth must be equitable, adding that State's consumer subsidy will be maintained to support the underprivileged sections of the population.
The opening session was attended by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, members of government, the secretary general of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), Abdelmadjid Sidi Said, and representatives of business managers.
The meeting's agenda includes the assessment of the implementation of recommendations relating to the economic and social growth pact, measures to encourage national production and promotion of public and private national companies.
The recommendations were first made at the 16th tripartite meeting on 23 February 2014.
The meeting will also focus on the relaunch of consumer loans for domestic products, public works companies' prerogatives in reducing the number of foreign workers and promotion of national material and human potentialities in the execution of projects.
The meeting will discuss the repeal or review of Article 87a of the law of 90-11 relating to labour relations.
