U.A.E. seeks to achieve greater family stability for nationals across U.A.E. and to provide decent housing for eligible families through mechanisms and projects that ultimately build a whole cohesive, stable and eco-friendly and sustainable society, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works, has emphasised in a statement on the occasion of the World Habitat Day celebrated on the first Monday of October of every year. In his statement, Minister Al Nuaimi, greeted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Member and Rulers of the Emirates, for dedicating their efforts for serving Emiratis, launching projects and programmes aimed at achieving social stability as well as ensuring that, by achieving security and stability, Emiratis are among the world's happiest people.
The National Agenda approved by Their Highnesses, he noted, proves that they are fully aware of, and keenly interested in all the details relating to the happiness and stability of nationals and the creation of an environment that boosts their creativity and giving.
"Growing demand on housing in the past ten years required new initiatives and mechanisms that can race against time to accommodate the growing numbers of Emirati families, achieve housing stability in the shortest time possible and with the best quality possible." This requires active partnerships and combined efforts in order to enable the society to fulfil future aspirations. These changes will contribute to the promoting of a new culture among nationals who will accordingly share the responsibility for achieving stability and happiness with the state and decreases the waiting period for eligibility for housing to less than two years as per the national agenda, the minister of public works added.
