Prime Minister Sherif Ismail chaired a Cabinet meeting to review the situation of basic goods and measures taken to regulate the markets ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The minister of finance, head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics and representatives of the Ministry of Supply attended the meeting.
During a meeting on Thursday, Ismail asserted the necessity of regulating the markets to guarantee providing the needed goods at low prices.
A detailed report on the stance of strategic commodities was reviewed during the meeting, Ismail said.
The sugar stock is enough until the end of the year and the oil stock is enough for three months, he said.
