The entire process of fielding tenders for mega state projects is completely above board and is carried out with the utmost transparency, said a Kuwaiti minister on Tuesday.
The Minister of Public Works and Electricity and Water Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim was mainly referencing the tender for building the new national airport whose tender, he assured, has not been awarded to any entity yet.
He said it was premature to say what company was going to build the project, noting that a committee would be formed shortly to determine who would get the tender for the vital project.
He said the new airport will have a capacity to receive 25 million passengers through 35 airport gates on an area of 630,000 sq.meters.
He made these comments as he was visiting with the Governor of Al-Ahmadi Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.
