Trade Minister, Amara Benyounes announced Tuesday in Algiers an upcoming meeting of a government committee to discuss questions asked to Algeria, as part of its accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO), adding that the negotiation process witness a concrete advancement in October.
In statements to the press on the sidelines of the opening of the autumn session of the two Houses of parliament, the minister stressed he will submit, at this meeting, a special report on the progress of Algeria's accession to the WTO.
The meeting will be an opportunity of the Algerian government to express its official position on certain issues and give directions for the continuation of the negotiation process.
"The government committee will meet in the coming days to definitively determine the position of Algeria regarding some questions submitted by the WTO or some of its members," the minister said without giving further details on the nature of these questions.
