French Ambassador in Cairo Andre Baran said his country hopes to establish an economic and security partnership with Egypt.
The remarks were made during a meeting Sunday with the members of the Egyptian-French Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria.
Baran praised a visit paid by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to France in November, saying that the visit had a positive impact on developing ties between both countries.
He underlined the importance of a planned visit by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to France during the coming days.
He called for developing economic cooperation and providing incentives to attract French investors into the Egyptian market.
