The European Union ambassador to Morocco Robert Joy said Saturday the EU hopes to resume talks over the signing of a comprehensive free trade agreement with Rabat.
Speaking during a press conference, Joy said the EU hoped to set a timetable for the resumption of negotiations between the two sides.
He added that the EU believed that a comprehensive free trade agreement would be a key to strengthening economic relations and enhances Morocco's ability to compete.
The official said the EU wanted to achieve further progress in the free trade agreement negotiations in 2015 as well as in the field of operations to facilitate the movement of people.
He also praised the joint measures taken by the two sides in the fight against terrorism.
The EU official considered 2014 as an extraordinary year, as the two sides signed several programs with a total value of 373 million euros.
