Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Tuesday asserted to the Egyptians, the Arabs and the world at large that Egypt is safe, secure and a good destination for investments.
In his speech at a session of the World Government Summit, he added that Egypt is handling terrorism in a practical way.
The session is held under the rubric "how Egypt prepares for the future".
The Egyptian government is seeking to achieve real reforms at a time when it is keen on launching social care programs for limited-income segments.
The Egyptian government has an ambitious plan to build one million low-cost housing units over the coming five years, he said, adding that the government is seeking to upgrade the sanitary sewage system to cover larger parts of the country.
Also, efforts are exerted to upgrade the sectors of energy, transport and railways, he pointed out, adding that health insurance is also marked for reform.
These reform efforts require massive investments and major finance from the government, he pointed out, underlining the important role of the private sector on this score.
As for Egypt's preparedness for the future and empowering young people, he explained that the current Egyptian House of Representatives includes unprecedented numbers of young people.
As for security concerns, he asserted that terrorist operations are so limited now and are committed in very limited areas. The government is standing up to this threat with all firmness, he confirmed.
