Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Sunday evening in Doha that Algeria is preparing for the post-oil era by encouraging investments in several fields.
Algeria is currently preparing for the post-oil era by encouraging investments in several fields, said Sellal in his meeting with the members of the Algerian community in Qatar.
In this regard, Prime Minister underlined the need to definitely free the country from its dependency on oil revenues.
Algeria has decided to “count in the next years on key sectors such as agriculture, tourism and energy,” said Sellal.
Concerning the relations between the two countries, Sellal broached the cooperation between Algeria and Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
Algeria and Qatar are working “to strengthen their cooperation,” he added, like the example of the steel complex of Bellara and “other major projects which will be launched under the bilateral partnership, particularly in the petrochemical field.”
