Rose Zamil, the brilliant Lebanese presenter known as Warda, confirmed to Arabstoday that negotiations with Orient Radio are now in their final stages and that on Monday 8th August, final steps will be taken for her joining the family of Orient Radio upon meeting with its Executive Director Ramzi Jubaili. Zamil said that she will not be fullu employed by the station as she will continue on presenting her radio shows “Saturday’s Salon” and “Almajalis Bel Amanat” on Sawt Lebnan Radio. On the possibility of changing the names of the two programs the Warda said: “I would think about it if I was required to.” The artist seemed very happy at the concept of working for Orient Radio, after a 9-month break from presenting, and after the negotiations she held in an attempt to rejoin both radio stations at Sawt Lebnan, which is owned by The Lebanese Phalange Party, but the negotiations led to nowhere as according to her “the station does not comply with all the rules specifically the fact that they broadcast their shows across all radio frequencies.” Rose has had a long career with Sawt Lebnan where she holds a special place with listeners because of her objectivity through the thousands of hours of live radio shows she presented, in addition to her political and variety programs. Not only that, but Zamil has devoted her life to hard work which set her apart from others in her field in Lebanon. Two of her most prominent works (that she created) were “This is my voice” and “In all honesty.”
