Ministry of Information's Assistant Undersecretary for News Sector Affairs Faisal Al-Mutalakem made inroads in its endeavor to restore Kuwait's Media leverage and leading role in the region in 2013-2014.
"The sector has made quantum leaps in performance and human and technical resources development," Al-Mutalakem told KUNA Saturday.
He pointed out that the sector succeed in provided a world-class coverage of a plethora of key events over the past year such as the 34th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, 25th Arab Summit, second Syria aid pledging conference, and the Third African-Arab Development Summit.
The sector has also produced a number of news analysis and talk shows which were warmly received by the audience, Al-Mutalakem said.
He added that, thanks to the unlimited support of the Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, the sector was supplied with the state-of-the-art technology to save time and efforts and help the staff produce high-quality materials in short time.
