Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali said on Saturday a huge competition will be announced soon to select the best smoking- and drugs-free TV series.
In a conference that aims to launch a national plan to reduce drug abuse, she said the competition comes with the cooperation of Youth and Sports Ministry.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab also attended the conference.
She said the plan is supported by social solidarity, youth, health, education, housing, awqaf, culture, higher education, manpower ministries.
She also called for allocating a budget to raise awareness among youths to reduce drug abuse in Egypt in which Education Ministry, Higher Education Ministry, Culture Ministry and Manpower Ministry contribute with five millions, 11.5 millions, 1.5 millions and two millions respectively.
