Egyptian actress Sherine Abdel Wahab a facing a lawsuit in Lebanon, which could cost the singer up to 1 million US dollars, after the singer was recorded attacking, swearing and slandering Lebanese journalist, Fadwa Al Rifai, on air during the popular show ‘Ana wal Asal’. Sherine's comments sparked a media backlash, resulting in Sherine's withdrawal from a press conference for new talent show ‘The Voice’ which will be shown on MBC soon. Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni is said to have defended Sherine, pleading with the Lebanese radio station to drop the charges.
