Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama told Arabstoday that a rumour of his death in a car accident was just an evil rumour. It has been reported that the popular singer died in a car accident in Al Achrafieh region in eastern Beirut. He said he didn't understand how a nasty rumour like that could be spread during the Muslim holy month or Ramadan, when it is supposed to be a time of tolerance and blessings. "I am definitely in good heath" he confirmed. Ragheb said he was shocked when he received phone calls from his relatives and friends who wanted to check on him, and was surprised at “how could some people insult anyone this way, whether he is famous or not." Ragheb wanted to talk to his fans through Arabstoday to confirm that he was in a good health and is speaking to his lawyers about filing a libel lawsuit against those responsible for starting the rumour.
