Arabstoday has learned that Omar Al-Sharif has completed his book “Laurence of Arabia” which tells his life story.The biography details his life, becoming an actor, and marrying Faten Hamama and Suhair Ramzy, whom he married for only six months in 1974. It also tells about his love for the American actress Barbra Streisand but the Jewish lobby prevented their marriage. The book explores his friendships with many Egyptian artists such as Ahmed Zaki, Mahmoud Al-Meliguiy and Madiha Yousry whom he considers to be his best friends in addition to the singers Abdul Halim Hafez and Saleh Selim. The technical director of the book is Salwa Bakr, who has been his manager for nearly 40 years. The book, soon to be published will appear in Arabic and English.
