The Lebanese singer Mai Hariri, explained in an interview with Arabstoday, that she would not respond to criticisms by her ex-husband, the musician, Melhem Barakat. Hariri said: "I am not the kind of person who is easily provoked. If Melhem was not convinced of me of as a singer, he would not have allowed me to sing the White Dove song which was recorded with his consent and support." She said that some people seek to provoke Melhem, who she described as "spontaneous and expresses his point of view quickly with affection and pure intentions."
