The Egyptian actor Ahmed Eid, revealed to Arabstoday that has been invitated to meet President Morsi next Thursday, with a delegation of artists. Eid said in an exclusive statement, “on Monday, I was surprised by a phone call from the presidential office. I was told that President Morsi wants me to join him and the artists delegation on Thursday, because he desires to support Egyptian art that was criticised by religious leaders." He added, "of course I’ll join the meeting. I voted for him in the second round of the elections." The actor thought this action will reflect positively on art as it will feel like Morsi cares about them.
