Egyptian actor Adel Imam has refused to comment on his charges of insulting Islam that led to his imprisonment. The acclaimed comedian only said the charges were not only against him but many others as well. He said his advocates would take the necessary legal action. Many NGOs and individuals announced their support for the actor. He said to Al-Arabiya: RRegardless of this judgment I won't accept doubts on my faith." When asked about threats to kidnap his grandchildren, he said: "There is a problem with security although the police have done their best and they arrested the person who threatened me." On his expectations for Egypt, he said: "We can only hope for the best.” Imam was sentenced for three month in prison for insulting Islam in some of his roles like "The Terrorist" (Al-Erhaby) and "Morgan Ahmed Morgan".
