The UAE Armed Forces is organising the Hosn Al Etihad (Fortress of the Federation) military show, the first of its kind in the country, that embodies the bravery, dedication and professionalism of the armed forces.
The show will take place on Thursday, 2nd March at 4.30pm on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The show will see the participation of different military units and will showcase a mock operation to rescue hostages in the middle of the sea, and display the latest military helicopters, fighter jets and submarines of the highest standards of modern military technology.
During the air and sea operations, a number of live raid scenarios on the Abu Dhabi Corniche grounds will take place to represent a realistic picture of the combat capabilities and abilities of the armed forces.
"Hosn Al Etihad is an exceptional opportunity for the audience to watch a military show that demonstrates the power and integration of all military units. It will shed light on the combat capabilities of the armed forces, and will give the audience an opportunity to look at the elements of commitment and discipline of our military, who represent the main foundation that supports our national security and strengthens sustainable national development, which follows the vision and values of our wise leadership," said the show’s official spokesman.
The Hosn Al Etihad military show will see the participation of the main units of the Army, Navy and Air force, as well as the Presidential Guard of the UAE Armed Forces. They will demonstrate striking and effective military capabilities on missions of fast intervention with flexibility and efficiency, and show the strength to perform a wide range of military operations to defend the country and protect its security.
Three giant screens will be installed on both sides of the main platform for the audience that will show live clips of the main event from the water, the beaches and the skies above the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The doors of the Hosn Al Etihad military show will be open to the public.
