Defence Minister Abdelkerim Zbidi reviewed here on Thursday with his Turkish counterpart Ismet Yilmaz means to boost military co-operation especially in the fields of training and health. Both sides stressed the need to increase the exchange of visits and expertise. The Defence Minister highlighted the role of the army in protecting the Revolution and preserving law and order in collaboration with home security forces and spoke of the army contribution in the Tunisian-Libyan border area and its hosting of refugees in coordination with national and international organisations and brotherly and friendly states. The Turkish Defence Minister stressed his country's support to Tunisia in this transitional stage, affirming that security is an essential condition to establish democracy and boost development .
