The Head Office of the ruling Sudanese National Congress Party chaired by President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir has endorsed the nomination of First Vice President Lt.-Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh for the position of the Prime Minister in the National Accord Government.
Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh will maintain his position as the country's first vice president, according to Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
A press conference will be held Thursday during which Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh will be officially declared as the country's Prime Minister in implementation of one of the national dialogue recommendations, SUNA reported.
