Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa described cultural relations between Bahrain and Egypt as a vital tributary to solid ties binding both countries which are characterised by conformity of visions and common denominators.
Shaikh Rashid was speaking as he received researcher and writer Saqr bin Abdullah Al Ma’awda who presented him with a copy of his new book on Bahrain and the honouring of the prince of poets marking the 90th anniversary of honouring Ahmed Shawqi as “the Prince of Poets”. He lauded the efforts made in compiling the book which keeps record of important intellectual and human events.
The book also casts light on Bahrain’s Arab and Islamic identity and the kingdom’s unflinching support to the Arab culture.
The Bahraini ambassador stressed that Bahrain and Egypt represent a strategic Arab political and cultural depth to face regional challenges, expressing satisfaction at the advanced level of bilateral relations
