Somalia''s President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed on Tuesday left Khartoum, concluding a two-day official visit to Sudan, during which he held talks with his Sudanese counterpart Omar Al-Bashir on means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. During the session of talks, the Sudanese President expressed his country''s readiness to send urgent aid to Somalia in order to face the drought, Ahmad told reporters at the end of his visit. AN emergency summit is scheduled to be held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Aug 9 to discuss means of supporting Somali people to face the worst drought in the Horn of Africa in 60 years.
