H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah opened on Sunday, Sharjah Art Foundation’s, SAF, new Himriyah Studios in Al Hamriyah Area.
Sheikh Sultan toured various sections of the new studios deemed a new architectural addition to SAF. He listened to a briefing on the new studios’ role in enhancing SAF’s activities and its interaction with the local art’s spectators Built on a land area of 1749 sqm, the new studios provide multi-functional artistic space enabling artists to focus on production of art works and interaction with other artists simultaneously.
These new spaces will also help artists carry out their artistic works in a highly professional environment where all ideal and necessary conditions for production, contemplation and innovation are available.
Upon arrival at the venue of the event, the Ruler of Sharjah was received by Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF); Sheikha Nawar bint Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, PR and Communications Officer at the Sharjah Art Foundation; Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Public Works Department; Mohammed Obaid Salem Al Zaabi, Director of the Sharjah Department of Protocol and Guesthouses, and several officials and government department heads.
