Saudi Arabia says it will not compromise with Iran in the wake of allegations of Iranian involvement in an assassination plot against a Saudi ambassador. Arab News said Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, speaking Tuesday at a news conference in Mecca, told reporters, "There can be no compromise with Iran concerning the assassination bid because there is no need for it." "We are ready to deal with any scenario ... with any means necessary," he added. U.S. prosecutors have alleged Iran was involved in a plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Iran denies the allegation. Despite increased tensions between the two countries, "Saudi Arabia, its government and people consider it as a great honor to serve the pilgrims who come for Hajj and Umrah. By doing that we seek the pleasure of God and of Muslims all over the world," Nayef said.
